PRESIDENT REPORT: SUPER SATURDAY: 7 APRIL at Gilbert Fraser Reserve

Published Wed 28 Mar 2018

We have planned a ‘Super Saturday’ for all our ‘Maggie Army’ on Saturday 7 April at Gilbert Frazer Reserve.  It is the opening game of the season and we would love to have a HUGE MAGGIE CROWD to cheer our boys on.  They have out in a huge effort leading up to the season opener, commencing in November last year.  They deserve all our support and certainly your presence will urge and lift them to a well win on the day!

A lot of planning and strategic preparation has gone on in the off season to ensure we achieve two key goals over the next couple of years:

  • To continue the player education and strategic development that began in 2017, and consolidate these so they are second nature to everyone, on and off the field
  • As a result, to return to A Grade for 2019

Then to build onto these foundations so we have the necessary support and capacity to support or League Team, to remain in A Grade!  This is our vision and to achieve it, we need everyone, on and off the field, to be prepared to stand up and ensure North achieves the vision.  There will be a range of activities and events in which supporters, Sponsors, Life Members and Alliance Members can become involved.  Get behind our wonderful Coach, Shane Woewodin, who has been engineering the development across the Club, with a steely desire for the success we have been unable to attain for many years!  Your involvement is important!

Super Saturday will see two games at the Club, against Maddington, including a Colts night game against Forestdale:       12:30pm:    League Reserves                            2:30:    League                        4:45pm:    Drew Benfield Colts

We shall also commence our ‘100 Club’ ticket sales which will continue throughout the season until all are sold, followed by a special event for the draw.  Light hospitality will be provided for Life Members and Sponsors during the event, in the Stan Whipp Hall, at half time.    In addition, Sponsors will receive vouchers for refreshments, of their choice.

The North Fremantle Amateur Football Club has always appreciated the support it receives from our Sponsors, Life Members, Alliance Members and supporters.  We value making such occasions possible as we value your friendship and support.

Players and partners are invited to cap the day off with the popular 'Silent Disco'!
