Where does the money go and where is it from?

Published Thu 05 Apr 2018

In the interests of improving the transparency at the Club we’ve put together a visual guide to where the money comes from, and then where does it go.

The largest and most significant source of revenue for the Club is Sponsorship where across a wide base there’s almost $54,000 received.

Following that is the Club House which consists of the profit from the bar sales, merchandise and events. This is without a doubt, the hardest income to generate with over $120,000 worth of sales to generate the profit. Considering the beers are $5 each, that’s around 22,000 drinks over the course of the year!

Senior membership generates merely 16% of the total.

Where does the money get spent? How much does it cost to run the club?

That all depends on what the Club wants to achieve! Premium coaching staff, experienced trainers and physios, high quality umpires are a good place to start and require over $70,000 to secure their services.

Training at night has its costs too - $24,000 for the electricity and maintenance of the lighting towers!

Want to be involved with the WAAFL? Then that’s another $19,000.

Base line before we've bought any new equipment/uniforms/insurance is well over $110,000

The Club is always looking out for new sponsorship opportunities and there’s some new fundraising initiatives starting in 2018 to increase the budget we can spend on new equipment. Every little bit helps!
